And the reason that Joop is an enduring classic, gosh it smells good; maybe that's why it has remained on the shelf for many years while other fragrances seem to come, it's that simple! Joop has an unusual scent that is a stand out, quite different in many regards, unlike many others we could name, not saying it is for all and everybody, but it IS good, it lasts and is not too strong, truly a full bodied scent that pleases every time you splash it on! WORST SMELLING COLOGNE EVER!
I don't write many negative reviews, but I have to say how absolutely horrible JOOP! for men smells. I've worn many brands of good cologne, and I do not recommend this scent to anyone. It's sickeningly sweet and very perfumy, not in a good way at all. To me, it kind of smells like stale cotton candy...it truly is a rancid scent. To call it "Old Lady Perfume" would be an insult to elderly women. I had to wash the stink off the arm I sprayed it on, and I can still smell it! Trust me, it's really, really bad...enough for me to bother writing this review. In my experience, I think many of these inexpensive eBay tester colognes are cheap knock-offs/counterfeit/old expired stock, and do not smell like the original expensive department store version. If you're lucky enough to find a cheap one here that actually smells good, the fragrance will not last long. Lesson learned: You get what you pay for. Strong and Long Lasting
First time I ever wear it. Very strong smell and lasts all day. However, it is not my type of cologne. It smells a bit feminine, especially hours after application. But it's definitely worth the value. It is even stronger and longer lasting than many other much more expensive brand names. My Own compliment is more than Enough!
Love this thing. Got to my door today. So happy. I wasn't having any expectations, for this just hoped to be surprised, and it did! I sprayed it the first 2 mists, then quickly did 12 more times immediately! Love the feel when you grab this well design bottle for holding. Thank you and keep up the good work. I have a very selective Nose and I own a very broad collection . This this just got to my hands 10 minutes ago. Let's see how long it last. But for now I am happy. Thank you. Clean smell, very strong at first, lasts a good 7 hours or a little more.
First day wore this cologne, I received 3 compliments. I asked those who complimented me what they liked about it. They told me it had a fresh, clean smell. It doesn't last all day (8 hours), although there is a hint of the scent left on my clothing after the day is done. But it did last long enough for a good portion of it. I figured out a quick short spray in the early afternoon does let this scent last well into the evening. Very happy I bought this.
