Quite easy to assemble with electric screwdriver

garden obelisk
obelisk was reasonably easy to assemble although it was quite tricky to get the screws tightened at the pointed end as you had to get inside the frame, but with patience it all came together. It is very rustic and very effective to look at but the wood is slightly split in places due to drying out of wood. Overall fair quality for the price and I would buy a 4th one if needed. Not bad in the end, but problems along the way
This is not a bad product, it was fairly easy to assemble, but fitting the top finial was a bit fiddly and the screws made it split, I used some slightly longer screws and made it work. One of the pieces of wood arrived broken but it was easier to make a replacement than send it back for a replacement. It’s also very light weight which makes me think the wood may not last in an outdoor environment. All wood is predrilled and shaped to fit together.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lovely obelisk
This is a lovely obelisk which I painted grey to tie in with the garden. The only criticism are the instructions which appear clear until you use them. I put it back to front and inside out but when eventually I did it correctly I was pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointing
I was so looking forward to receiving this item to add some architectural interest to my rose bed. How disappointed I was when I took it out of the box. I had specifically ordered a sage green one so that I wouldn't have to paint it. The covering of paint is minimal - just a wash over the original wood. I had to paint it The bolts required to attach the top and bottom (which do not show on the photograph of the item) were brass and really ugly. My husband has replaced them with dowels.
