I think it’s an expensive gimmick but it works. It was simple to set up but was initially very frustrating to use. The clasp repeatedly came undone, resulting in the unit separating and falling from the chain, with the cleaning fluid leaking from the reservoir. It was difficult to feed the chain at times and the chain came off the sprocket several times. But if kept perfectly in line with the chain the unit worked as desired. Actually quite useful
Ok, so its a "Gadget" - but it pretty much works in practice as advertised...... VERY stiff to get the chain working through it FIRST TIME - but after that works a bit smoother. The cleaning fluid feeds slowly over the chain and it doesnt all get used up overly fast. Construction wise its a pretty "nasty" bit of plastic - but it exists to help you with a very messy job and it DOES very effectively get grime OFF the chain and into the oily black residue at the bottom of the case, which I then tip out over any plants I want to die..... Quite happy with it. A tad overpriced perhaps but if it broke (which it may well do due to the essentially cheap construction) I will probably buy another ! Because its useful ! Best of luck. Works well hadn't cleaned my chain for 100 miles 🔗🤔 with the aid of an old rag soon looked all new.
