Overall a good product.
If the colour is dark red then it's difficult to see the water level as you're filling it and if you're using the steam setting the water doesn't last long before needing refilling. Minor points but the difficulty in seeing the water level can be annoying when a little bit of thought would have solved it. That's why I've only given it 4 stars. Good product though, does the job well and built to last. My last Rowenta lasted 30 years! Sort the niggles out and it would make a good product into a great product. Generates loads of steam
Steam amount is related to the temperature you're using. ie. More steam provided for cotton and linen. But it also shoots out a jet of steam when you stand the iron on it's heel. Maybe that's why it uses a lot of water. I have taken to cutting off the steam before I lift the iron off the garment, but it's fiddly. Awesome piece of kit
I cannot believe that I'm waxing rhapsodic about an iron, but this device is phenomenal. Heavy, well-built and incredibly effective, it renders a task that I find hateful (ironing) into a tolerable exercise. SWITCHED FROM A BIG COMMERCIAL
We switched from a large commercial iron with a separate water tank. I would rate the Rowenta iron very highly A generous length of flex, which does not get twisted up. Heats quickly but, so far has not burned anything! I use an iron too hot! My only criticism would be that the water tank is rather too small and you need to refill between pressing two pairs of trousers. Great Iron
Maybe this iron is a little on the heavy side, but for me the weight is ideal. The iron heats very quickly and generates much greater quantities of steam than I have had from other irons. I'm very pleased and would recommend to anyone. I haven't had the iron long enough to comment about reliability, but I'm hoping it proves to be as reliable as other Rowenta irons I have owned.
