The Great Race / Monti Carlo or Bust
Great Films for the time, Entertaining, well acted, filmed and brings back good memories of my childhood. However the Discs are DVDR Copies of the films NOT Comercial DVD Pressings, very dissapointed to have purchased forgeries and not original presentations. From my knowledge of being in the CD DVD BLURAY Duplication business these discs will not last and will over time develop more and more digital errors, if the Discs get hot or are stored in an unstable environment the damage can be accelerated. Search for genuine studio releases to avoid disappointment.

A great deal of effort went into making 'The Great Race, and this shines through in the end product, which, although rather silly, entertains and makes me laugh, even though I have seen it a number of times. The other film (Monte-Carlo or bust) was clearly made on a very much smaller budget and has a rather 'thrown together' feel to it. I didn't find it very funny and cannot recommend it.

Very Entertaining
This seemed to be the cheapest way to purchase the movie "Monty Carlo or Bust". The first movie, "The Great Race", was absolutely appalling!!!! The pay off is that you get the much better &, in my opinion, classic, Monty Carlo or Bust. Takes you back to a carefree era & plenty of wholesome British stiff upper lip humor with Terry Thomas (I say, you absolute scoundrel!!), Eric Sykes, Peter Cook & Dudley Moore. A nice way to spend an hour or so.

Great value, splendid fun.
Great value, considering you get two films, both of which have sometimes been hard to find here in the UK. The movies themselves are entertaining romps of a type not really made any more, with a first rate cast- Tony Curtis, Peter Cook, Eric Sykes et al, with villainy and sneakiness aplenty supplied by Terry-Thomas and Jack Lemmon. If you enjoyed "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines", you'll love these.

very funny and entertaining
These two films both featuring Tony Curtis driving in car rally competitions but not related, were very funny. I have tried to get copies of both these films for ages, normally either too expensive or only for use in USA. I was very pleased with my purchase. The Great Race even had subtitles which was excellent. The costumes were beautiful - especially Natalie Wood. Every time she was on screen she seemed to have a different ensemble. I loved both films and would recommend them to all ages.

Classics that are not easy to find. Copies are clear and played without problems. Don't appear to be digital restored, but they are "clean" copies. Sound has very slight variations in volume in some sections of Monte Carlo but not enough to really be an issue. Very nicely and professionally presented in normal sized dvd case. No extras.

Very funny classics
So glad I was finally able to get these very funny classics on DVD. They were made around the same time as Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, Cannonball Run, Gumball Rally etc and are truly funny films. Real slapstick, clever comedy, with a host of familiar names making major contributions to the entertainment value. Wonderful.

Excellent film if you can view it a bonus getting the other film to it as long as you have a older DVD player not anything too up to date like games consoles or blue ray DVD players. Dissapointed not exactly as advertised
