Decent movie, not among his best, picture quality is DVD-level
This is an unusual new-noir film that gives away the ending in titles before the film even starts—it’s essentially a police procedural story in which they fail to ever solve the mystery and catch the serial killer. Knowing this from the start takes away a lot of the potential suspense. That’s what makes it unique but also what makes it less satisfying to watch. I bought it because I’m a fan of Bong Joon-ho’s other films and hadn’t seen this one, but I don’t consider this one of his better films. This Korean Blu-Ray release has English subtitles, but they can only be activated through your player’s controls, not through any menu I could find on the disc, and the bonus features don’t have English subtitles. The picture quality is also not really good enough to justify the price difference between this and the DVD, so if you still just want to see this movie, I recommend saving a few bucks and just getting the DVD.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Blu-ray review
One of the best films that came out of Asia in the last decade or two. This release is Region Free, which is good as it was never released in Europe on BD before. Great acting, plot and another beautiful score by Taro Iwashiro. Must have for every film lover that goes beyond watching the blockbusters.Verified purchase: Yes

Great movie, but expensive
Unfortunately, this movie is not currently available in US, so I (somewhat grudgingly but fully knowingly) paid a hefty premium for this. That said, the movie arrived pretty quickly from overseas and I truly enjoyed watching it.
