Simplicity itself, essential if you use XD cards.
I have recently rediscovered an old Fujifilm FD31D and have been enjoying using it. However I had no way to upload the photos. The card reader looks like a USB memory stick, you simply put the xd card in the slot, put the USB stick in the computer and the pictures are easily uploaded. Simple and so easy. A cost effective to a problem for those with older digital cameras that use what now seems to be a fairly rare XD card. Much easier than connecting camera up via USB and hoping the OS has the right drivers. Simple plug and play. Bought this reader after reading other reviews from buyers experiencing the same problems as I had where my existing card readers just simply would not work correctly with Windows 10.
