Deters, doesn't kill, but who cares; I just want them gone
So it's September tomorrow. The time has come around again when my peripheral vision and spider senses kick in and the urge to enclose myself in an air bubble until mid October returns. This stinks to high hell but it's worth it. Spray it around doors, windows, in corners ... everybloodywhere! It seems to work; I've been using it for three years now and despite one unwelcome visitor last year, which the husband removed with a casserole dish and a copy of Dark Side of the Moon on vinyl (yes, it was that big) I haven't had an issue. I have two cats and they're still here so I don't consider it toxic to them but I'd recommend spraying and then going out for half an hour or so to let the smel subside. Out of neurosis on my part, I respray after a week or two, but it's supposed to last for about a month each time. Disappointing
This spray was my last hope to avoid spiders webs across cctv lenses. It has however not proved to solve the problem and I continue to have issues. The only thing I’ve noticed though is that spiders are not living under camera hood as before - so its possible the spray coating is killing them but not before they spin a few strands - so I still have to brush obstructions clear until the next spider comes along. Fairly effective product
I've used this purely around security products and to date this stuff does the job. However, claims that it does NOT harm the spiders are simply NOT TRUE. On application around cameras I accidentally squirted a spider with the result that the poor thing curled up and died within a couple of minutes. That was a shame in my view. Spiderex Spider Repelent
On the good side: Spiderex does just what it says it repels all spiders and does it very well without killing them. We dont want to do that as they kill flys that spread those nasty germs etc. On the down side: It is quite expensive for what it is. You need to re-apply it at frequent intervals. They claim it does not smell, in fact it does quite strongly for a while. Not at all good to breath. But all that said it is effective. Do Not use on CCTV
After getting this product to use on my CCTV as the Spiders was all over them, I sprayed 2 of my Camera's which almost instantly damaged the waterproof clear covers, which rendered them completely useless. No More Spiders
I had cameras covered in spider webs but Spiderex has stopped all that. I didn't spray the cameras but gave the area behind them a good spray. I have cameras on the wall and on the soffits of my house. Thus far, after two weeks, the cameras are still clear.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
