These produced the best sound of any kind I’ve ever heard.
These headphones sound absolutely incredible. If you put them on me and asked me how much they should cost based on sound alone I’d say $600 (I’ve never heard an actual $600 headphone though). They will open up well-recorded and produced tracks to a point where it’s like you’re discovering it new every time. You can hear each element so clearly and precisely with a very wide and balanced stereo image. Any serious listener or musician should get these to hear the most realized, transparent version of any track. They let noise out since they’re open back but it’s not that bad- I can listen when my gf’s asleep and there’s a fan on. They’re not comfortable. After wearing them for about 2 hours my ears get sore, and if you listen to them a lot for a couple days in a row it can build up. It helps to take frequent breaks. For me it’s mostly because of the on-ear design that presses against your ears, I don’t know if there’s any way around that. But overall 100% worth it- amazing value. Amazing headphones. A game changer
These headphones. Where do I start? I am not new to the game of 'audiophile' headphones. My everyday pair are Sennheiser HD650s. And for traveling I use a wonderful pair of Sennheiser Momentums. Grados are not a 'neutral' sound signature that you will use to mix audio. But, if you want to ENJOY your music? I cannot think of a better option at this price point. Everything I've put through these has renewed my love for them. Classical, rock, metal, alternative. I cannot find something that these present poorly. Maybe edm? They don't have skull crushing bass. But The bass is full bodied and not lacking in any way. Just doesn't punch since they're open back. Simply put, everyone needs to try these Grados. The build quality makes you think they're from the 80s, which was my initial draw to them. I guess I'm a hipster but I think they look awesome. Paired to my Fiio BTR5? I just love music again. They've also replaced my HD650s as my gaming headphones. Halo Infinite through these makes you think you are the master chief. So do I recommend these? Well it should be obvious by now lol. Buy them.

Grado headphones
Opinions concerning audio equipment can be very subjective. IMHO, Grado makes the world's best head phones. I believe it is widely accepted the Grado SR60 provides the best bang-per-buck of any headphone. However the SR60 is Grado's bottom-of-the-line head phone and their cheapest. The next grade up is the SR80e. Not surprising, cost scales with quality. Perfect sound quality is impossible to achieve because it costs infinite money. Extremely low quality headphones (Chinese knock-offs) cost about $5 and are a waste of money. The SR80e is a better headphone but about $20 more than the SR60. I also own an SR125e and an SR225. The SR225 does have the highest sound quality but its bang-per-buck is inferior to the SR125e. IMHO, the SR125e has slightly better bang-per-buck than the SR80e. Again, the common wisdom is the SR60 has the best bang-per-buck for ALL headphones made. A problem with evaluating sound quality is one's memory of sound quality lasts about 20 seconds. A person needs to listen to one headphone and then immediately switch to a different one to form a valid comparison. Having done that experiment, it is my opinion the SR125e offers the best bang-per-buck for all of the Grado headphones.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Perfect for my live on stage monitoring application.
I play bass for a large church and these Grado SR80e headphones fit the situation perfectly. The open back design lets me hear the drummer next to me and doesn't isolate my from the congregation either. The sound quality is superb. I'm driving them with a Cafe Walter HA1A headphone amp and I can get them louder than I need. They are very honest headphones and I could not find anything better for three times the money. The design is retro enough to be cool on stage too. This is my second pair as the first pair broke at the jack after about 5 years of use (But I will resolder the old ones just to have a backup). Perfect first set of quality open backs
Great value. Probably the best headphones in this price range. The open-back design is executed really well and lends itself to an awesome listening experience in a quiet environment. Bright!
Like the headphones, though if a tad bright. As n avid headphone collector of mid- to high grade headphones, I'd rank these may 3rd on my list of most liked. The two others that slightly bested them out were (to my ears) were the Sennheisers HD598, an the ATH-m50, which again to my ears seemed a little less bright, than the Grado's . The best headphones for Music between 100 to 500 Dollars price range.
Grado's are the best, top of the line headphones. While they may not look it, they are headphones that are custom made in a shop in New York City, and have been for over 50 years. These are hands down the best musical headphones you will ever buy. Headphones that cost 500-600 more, do less than what a pair of Grado's can do. The 80's are more Bass, by roughly 25% the 65's are about 10% more Treble. Either way, you will be very happy with them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
