  • Underrated Console.

The Wii U is an underrated console. I've always wanted one, but wait for a good deal on pre-owned/refurb. Unfortunately, it wasn't very popular and the games are limited due to lack of interest, but the games are available are pretty good. The Zelda remakes look great and the Super Mario games are always hours of entertainment. Granted...a lot of the games are ports, but are fun to replay non-the less. Also a big plus is that they are easily soft modded and I can back up my disc games to a portable hard drive and not worry about popping in a disk every single time. There are also home-brew apps to play classic NES/SNES/N64/Game Cube games. I can pretty much replay my entire Nintendo Franchise on the Wii U. My only issue is that the range of the Game Pad isn't what i though it would be. No issues using the game pad in the same room, but when you walk out of the same room you loose connection. I would have been nice to be able to keep the console down in the basement and walk upstairs and solely use the Gamepad without being in line of sight to the console. That's where the Nintendo Switch is so successful...you can pick up the switch on the go and play anywhere you want. Overall, its nice to be able to go back and play all the Zelda games on both a TV screen and Gamepad screen.

  • 10/10 would recommend

My daughter turned 10 and ALL SHE WANTED was a legend of zelda game on wii u. This listing was above and beyond perfect. Great quality and great price. I was skeptical going through eBay rather than GameStop or something to that effect. But I do not regret taking this route! Better price better quality for sure! I couldn't express my appreciation enough!

  • Caveat Emptor - not for the faint of heart

This faceplate is awesome. It looks very good, is not cheaply made, and is most likely an authentic nintendo product. The caveat here is that this required the most serious surgery I've had to perform on a video game device. It requires completely dismantling the guts of the gamepad, including disconnecting ribbon cables, etc. I would strongly recommend checking out a youtube screen replacement video to see what you are getting into prior to purchase. However, should you succeed, you will be extremely satisfied with the end result.

  • Great Product

Shipped with care wrap and paper. The gamepad has little to no ware or scratches to it. All the detail of the art is still on the pad. Everything works so far. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

  • If you are a Zelda fan and you do not have a Wii U look nowhere else!

The ultimate Wii U bundle for Zelda fans! The deluxe version of the Wii U worth its money, as you get 4 times the capacity and a few extras, like the charging cradle, the normal cradle, the Wii sensor bar. It is great! The bundle includes the game and Hyrule Historia in digital downloads. It also has a custom Wii U gamepad which is pretty. The game itself is a great remake of the classic WindWaker with HD graphics and a few tweaks in some of the quests. Hyrule Historia is a must for anyone interested in the lore of the game. It is an expensive bundle, but it is a collectible that is rare

  • A Misunderstood Console

The Wii U has quickly become my favorite console I am a bit bias I am somewhat of a Nintendo fan boy but I also enjoy my ps3 and I have been wanting a ps4 but i decided to go with the Wii U and boy I have not been disappointed. Many new generation games have not been very exciting or diverse most new generation games have been FPS or a few RPGs and that makes the new generation very plain sadly some what stagnate, but Nintendo has always been different and although the marketing was completely terrible they made a great console. I have a Wii and it was revolutionary but was always downed on for being more of a child's console and for having bad graphics. The Wii U stepped it up and has amazing HD graphics I was actually quite surprised at how good some of the games look like Tekken Tag Team looks amazing and so does The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. But I am not at all a graphics person I could care less but for those of you who care about graphics Nintendo really stepped it up and made the graphics look really good. Next the game play and thats what Im all about having fun innovated games that have longevity and at least some replay ability (I dont like buy a game to play it once) This is where Nintendo really shines First and foremost I really see the Wii U as a party console games like WarioWare, Mario Kart 8, Nintendo land, Smash Bros, and others all prove how energetic the console can be, but it can also make a great sole console games like Xenoblade Chronicles X, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Monster Hunter Ultimate 3, ZombiU, and even Minecraft just to name a few to show how great of a console it can be. The Wii U gamepad also adds some innovative gameplay for some games like use the gamepad as a second screen for some games or for others like Wind Waker it hads a more help menu so instead of pausing the game and looking for the item your whole menu is right there on the gamepad (I highly recommend getting a protective case for gamepad). But if you dont like the gamepad because its heavy or too big you can always turn off the screen (to save battery) and use either a Wii U pro controller or a Wiimote I really love the Wii U pro controller it just feels right and it has a wide support not wide enough but there is a good grip of games that do support the pro controller. The worst things about the Wii U itself is the amount of memory 32GBs is not at all enough for anything maybe 3 full games and all your memory is used up I recommend getting a Fantom external drive 2TB for about $89 - $129 but 2TB is the highest amount of memory the Wii U will support anything higher and the Wii U wont recognize the drive. Also for some games the Wii U does seem to lag when a lot of things are happen so the process isnt the best but this rarely happens so its nothing to fear or worry about. All in all I have to say this is the best next generation console (Wii U, PS4, Xbox One) although the Wii U doesnt get all the FPSs and other games that everyone plays every year they still have a lot of great and even better stand alone games that are well worth playing, owning and sharing the experience with others. Yes the marketing and promotions of this console left many confused thinking it was just a new Wii (because of the name) which in reality it wasnt it was a brand new console with a lot of brand new things to show off and that was the reason it newer took off people thinking it was just a upgraded Wii U (just like the 3ds and New 3 ds) Nintendo really needs to work on their naming but the Wii U is just a Misunderstood console being taking for granted and can really shine if you give it a chance.

  • Great console, just need to look up the good games for it.

The 4 games have plenty of content, especially Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The Wii backwards compatibility also will allow me to play my Wii games on an hdtv more easily. The pro controller's battery life is amazing, and there's no trouble with charging the gamepad while not in use. The console might not have been successful, but it has found a place with me and I've been enjoying my time with it immensely.

  • Still valued

This is a joy to play. The gamepad feels great in your hands. I wished Switch could feel like this out of the box. The dual screen is also a nice feature that Switch is also missing out. I mainly bought the Wii U to play Zelda games. And virtual console. I do see though I can play games like Metroid prime or other M using the gamepad with a Wii remote. That might be fun to see if it can be done.

I absolutely love my Wii u. It has access to so many Zelda games and so many classics that I love to play yet it also plays newer HD games there's such a really good selection of games for this system way more than with the PS3
