Best one I've had
They are brilliant,the double one is so useful,just pull out and use in seconds and retract back to keep it clean and the garden looking tidy. I made the mistake of buying another brand first as it was slightly cheaper and it broke after first use,the line was thin so didn't hold washing securely and had cheap plastic ends,so returned itand d bought Minky - so pleased I did !!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Probably best over short span
It is a good sturdy product but with the line extended near to full capacity the weight impacts on its ability to remain taught and I had to wind line round the stop twice to prevent it slipping and the stop has shallow lip and not designed for a double wind. Had one before and had to do the same. I suspect on shorter lengths it will be better. Suits my purpose when line up most of the time but would be a real pain trying to get that tension on a daily basis.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Get fixed not swivel bracket
Bought about four maybe five swivel bracket and different makes and all of them failed. My friend recommended the fixed bracket Minky that he has had for 6 years and still going strong. I’ve had about about 4 full heavy loads of washing out now in high winds and my little Minky has coped no problem. good idea, poor materials.
This item is NOT yet installed. However it is a direct replacement of an identical we have. This works well, however the line toggles are brocken off, the lines -both are severly frayed, liable to break any time - hence a replacement. The lines wearing is not a surprise, but the inability to replace IS. Is this juat a another step to "Landfill"Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good retractable washing line
Bought this as a replacement for the Minky retractable line we inherited with our house. Seems to be decent quality, and does the job we need of a washing line spanning our patio. Only rating it as 4 stars as I'm unsure of long term durability - the lines on the previous version had started to fray. A worthwile Buy
It works well and is very easy to attach to a brick wall. When recoiling the washing line do not let it spring back. I did this with my old one and broke the spring. I let it recoil gently back and that way it is fine. I consider it good value as it comes with two separate ines and each line is long enough for the average garden. Can't wait to wash!!
This saves having a pole in the middle of your garden when not using it. The lines are neatly tucked away and keeping free from rain and dirt. The lines lock into place and in winter when you don't want to use it for a while, it can be easily removed and put away till the sun comes out!!!
