No nonsense derailleur
This replaced a basic deore 9 speed mech I'd ruined over 15000 miles. This one is similar but there are some higher quality parts. I hunted around for one of these because the newer shimano rear mechs have no cable adjuster, which is fine if you have MTB shifters but not Road Sti or downtube shifters like I do. This mech solves that problem. The parallelogram is broader and better finished than a basic deore. The cage isn't quite as long (10cm I think) as the old deore MTB one but plenty long enough for my touring bike with a 26-38-46 at the front and 28-12 at the back with movement to spare. The mech was unboxed (it was bagged) but new with the factory shimano flourecent grease on the springs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
