Good quality paints
The colour density is maybe not quite as strong as the artist range but that can be an advantage with watercolour paints as it gives you more scope when working from light to dark. I use Cotman paints a lot and prefer them to some of the more expensive versions. The colours hold their vibrancy and mix well with each other. They make really good washes too. Some colours like Vandyke brown and Burnt Umber can be grainy even in the expensive ranges but the Cotman ones are fine as long as you mix fresh every time and don't leave the paint sitting in your palette overnight!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
