Original AA magnetic L plates
Original AA Magnetic L plates. Do what we need. We use water resistant masking tape to fix to rear plastic bumper of fiesta. Also put some tape on leading edge on bonnet to stop air getting under them at speed and blowing them off. Lots of reviews of magnetic plates have had this happen.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Slightly magnetic L-Plates.. great for metal-fronted cars, otherwise forget it.
Nice quality and well made plates but the magnetic base will only stay stuck to a vertical metal surface (e.g. a boot lid). If your car has a plastic front bumper that comes halfway up the car, so that you have stick the plate to the bonnet, it will lift up and be blown off. Mine went AWOL a few times the first time I used them... until finally it blew off and ended up in a ditch and I couldn't find it. A stick-on plate is better for any car that has a less than vertical nose... otherwise I'd recommend a strip of duct tape to hold down the leading edge.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

As good as they get
As a driving instructor I’m always putting on and taking off L plates. I have found this brand to be as good as any, they’re very flexible and hold to the vehicle well. Great magnetic "L" plates.
These "L" plates work as expected. They are very easy to attach and remove, and do not mark the paint on your vehicle. They are a good size so are clear to see. One thing I would advice is not to leave them on your car when parked in a town....kids have a tendency to like pinching "L" plates for some reason. Also, you have to remember to remove them if you are not a learner driver as you can get a fine if you drive with them still attached.
