Ghibli at its best
I first found Studio Ghibli when I saw Howles Moving Castle, as someone who used to draw cartoons for fun I was amazed at the details they paid to everything they drew, flowers, you could see individual petals, rain clouds, you can see the rain falling, absolutely superb. So during the next few years I purchased every Ghibli film I could find and have never been dissatisfied ever. This film From Up On Poppy Hill has the same theme as Spirited Away, The Cat Returns, My Neighbour Totoro and many others, youngsters finding love whilst trying to do 'the right thing', if you want to watch a film which will make to smile and cry at the same time then this is the film for you, beautiful to watch, superbly detailed and one last thing the voice overs are all in sinc with the mouth movements which is very rare in foreign films dubbed into English. So there you are, if you are 6 or 60 this is for you, try it you may end up like me a total Ghibli nut, thankfully my wife feels the same way.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
