  • ScanSnap iX1300 very small footprint but full featured scanning capabilities. Suitable for the small home / mobile office.

Bought the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1300 with a view to scan old accounts which are taking space. For this purpose the scanner is doing a good job. Took some trial and errors (installing the software twice) before the setup was completed. The ScanSnap iX1300 is now working with USB cable as well with WiFi connection and also scans to my iPhone in a breeze. The Wifi connection is definitely slower compare to USB so if you want to avoid lagging and image conversions to be take place in a snap then avoid WiFi linkage. I experienced sometimes A4 documents jams and found if you align your documents to neatly and well stacked up - similar to new A4 papers directly from a paper ream - the ScanSnap iX1300 jams more often. Therefore if the documents are placed in the ADF a little more skewed it scans better. The only thing which the ScanSnap iX1300 is not doing to well are thin receipts and I have left them unscanned for continuing statutory storage. software is very good with lots of features. one thing I miss would be to use an old PDF file and add/stitch in a newly scanned document into the PDF. Conclusion if I asked the question would I buy it again? -answer definately unless my main scanning papers would be paper receipts.
