Pour Prestone Cooling System Flush into expansion tank, top up with water to correct level and run engine at idle for 45-60 mins. Drain system, flush with water and add Prestone coolant/antifreeze to correct level.

Excellent for removing oil contamination.
I bought this to remove oil contamination after a blown head gasket. Other cleaners had failed to remove the oil completely, probably atteched to the cooling hoses. I used the Prestone exactly as directed, draining the system, adding the Prestone and topping up (with distilled water) and running the car, at fast idle, for 60 minutes. I then drained off and flushed twice with distilled water and the system appeared really clean with no trace of oil appearing in the top of the radiator. This product really froths in action, rather like a strong detergent (which it is) and certainly cleans out oil. I cannot say how well it eliminates scale as my systems are always filled with antifreeze and distilled water but this is the best degreaser I have found.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
