Unexpected pleasure
This was recommended in a newspaper recently, and as I am quite a fan of both Guy Pearce and Marta Dusseldorf, I thought that I would purchase it. I enjoyed it. Jack Irish was a lawyer, but gave up when his wife was killed by a dissatisfied client. He is now a sort of scruffy detective, with allies including a dodgy racehorse owner/trainer and 3 elderly gents whose second home is the local pub. There is the usual Aussie humour. I've just been given the couple of films which were made prior to the TV series, but I think this TV series stands on it's own, and you don't need to have seen the films beforehand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
