Blu Ray player works fine,
The BluRay DVD player part works fine, easy to setup (manual downloadable from Philips). The Unit updates to latest firmware. This unit only takes wired ethernet, NO WiFi. Using the key pad to enter the network data is a pain because there is no shift (CAPS). Netflix, Pandora, VUDU, YouTube and Picassa (only pictures from the cloud storage). are hard to set up because you have to use the arrow keys to enter network data. You have to enter the login data using the directional pad. Since I use a Roku, I don't use the apps. The remote takes a HEAVY push on the directional keys. Works great, better then newer type units
Isee a lot of negative reviews. This unit is great. I allows a person to plug a 200GB or more External HD into the USSB and watch movies Photos nearly any strored item easily, unlike NEWER Blue Ray units what will only run 8GB thimb drive and then only selected formats. It runs Blue Ray and DVD disks perfectly. It is old style design technically, thus it functions before they place all the new restrictive rules on what can and cannot be ran. I have used the VUDU app and it ran OK. Unfortunatly when the wonderful folks at Google took over what was once a great site YOUTUBE, they got into a war with Phillips and sent a signal to my old (EXACTLY THE SME UNIT) that killed YouTube from running on it.
