Good Sounding Convenient Little Box for a No-Amp or DAW Set Up
The DSM & Humbolt is an interesting pedal. First - it is really small. It fits nicely on a pedal board. Second - it has all the I/O needed for running a cool no amplifier gig set up with pedals. Third - the sound to me is very good BUT it is not a modeler in my mind. It has some really good sounds for clean and overdriven set ups - it just isn't an exact Vox or Marshall clone. That is OK by me as I generally have disliked all the cheaper modelers out there (to be fair, I have not tried the Iridium - but that is not that cheap). The analog Simplifier just feels less harsh and more natural than the Line 6, the Zoom and the Hotone products I have tried . And, the best is stereo balanced outputs so I can run stereo effects to the board and/or to a DAW for recording. This thing works for me really well. Very recommended.
