Read Between the Lines
Not until the item arrived did I fully realize the cameras do not work with a satellite ISP. The description DID say a Broadband or DSL is required, but did NOT specifically state not for use with satellite systems. It's all about the upload latency and satellite ISP uploads are crazy slow due to latency. So I gifted the cameras to someone that will use them. I don't recommend this for anyone with satellite, it was my fault I didn't fully research this item before purchase. A brief explanation regarding upload latency on a satellite system in the description would be a plus. The value is a good if you consider how much it cost to build a security system on your own 10 years ago. I did and the cameras where very expensive and still work to this day. Best one yet!
I bought this set along with 4 mini's and couldn't be happier. This camera has more features than the others as well as it's thicker and a better mount. You can turn off the lights from your phone if you don't want people to know your recording instead of having to take it down and open it up to flip a switch. Good product but can be improved
First of all, this review is for the product, not for the seller. The product is reliable and functions as described. It is pretty easy to install and setup. one thing I don't like is that it lacks an easy power cycling function. let me describe my issue: one of my camera is a little bit farther away from the WIFi and sync module. It sometimes loses connection. and most of the time, it could self recover--automatically connect to the WIFI. However, It is not able to do that all the time. in some scenario, it failed to connect to WIFI even the WIFI signal is strong. In this scenario, based on the instruction, we have to take the battery out and insert it again. It works and the camera will function again after that. However, just think about how difficult it is -- take the camera down, screw and open the back cover, take out battery, insert the battery, close the back cover, and climb to a ladder and install back the camera. what a "smart" design!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I love my cameras! So easy to install. Had mine done in a matter of minutes. The only thing I wish I could do is buy some add on cameras. Every time I think I'm ordering extra cameras the whole kit comes. I don't need another sync module, when the one I have can support 10 cameras. Pictures are very clear. I like that I don't have to subscribe to anything. I have these at our home and our vacation home, both outdoors. I can keep and eye on both places. The 2 I have at home, I turn them off in the daytime and before I go to bed, I turn them on. The remaining cameras all worked. There's no mounts or good batteries. All had plenty of scratches. After all that, i could have bought new for not much more.
