A must with a Ring Doorbell
A clever ploy by the makers of the Ring Doorbell not to include the chime with the doorbell when we bought it. For the money paid I assumed this would come as standard but was gravely mistaken. The chime is a great and necessary addition unless you have your phone with you at all times in and around the house. Fortunately I was able to get it at a good and lower price than others were selling it. Has a number of different chimes to choose from much like mobile phone ring tones. I've knocked off 1 star because you have to subscribe to their service in order to store videos. The camera unit is fine and good quality and provides a good image but I'm not sure what use it will be after the free 30 day subscription trial ends. After this date it becomes just another doorbell with a video and there are plenty of cheaper models out there. Good features though and well made and battery seems to be lasting ok with little drain if you stop viewing in live mode for long periods.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quality item as usual from Ring Doorbell. I purchased this one to compliment my existing setup and it was simple to set up and I now get much better notice of a caller at the door if I’m upstairs or in the garden. Would definitely recommend.

Compact, attractive and well made. The chime is capable of generating a high volume tone and has a good range of tones. It also connects to the doorbell over a good distance. I have only given 4 stars as I find the the app difficult to navigate for even simple adjustments such as chime volume and tone. We have just purchased a Ring doorbell. We found that if there wasn’t a device in the house that had the Ring app on it then you could not tell that someone was at the door. This solves the problem.
