An economy projector that delivers.
The reviews authored by others that claim this projector produces a great image are spot on. After ten years of projector use in my home theater, I can tell you that for the price, you really can't beat this projector. However, one caveat...noise, which is not unexpected in a DLP unit. Between the color wheel and cooling system, expect about 35-36db (by my meter) in Econo mode. That is truly the only complaint I have. The legacy connections are greatly appreciated, the brightness is a major plus and the color depth and blacks are really quite good. I paid $500 for a new in the box old stock unit (2016 manufacture). I had to re-mount my ceiling bracket due to the shorter throw compared to my old projector, and I did have to extend the mount to have the projector down about 10" more from the ceiling. Have yet to try the 3D feature, but its not a priority for home theater any more and not why I chose this one. Price and image quality...bottom line!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Love this projector
This is the second projector that I purchased. The first one I purchased for the our community center. I liked it so much, that I purchased this second one for my personal use. I love the versatility in mounting and variety of connector ports available. have two important feature that others projector do not have

BenQ 1070 is still a great 1080HD projecter in today's 4K world.
BenQ 1070 is still a great 1080HD projecter in today's 4K world. I use it to project a vary large 100" across on my plain white walls without a screen surface. It is bright enough to watch during the daytime and very bright in the dark. I have been using it to watch older Ultraman Ace episodes... and though they were shot in 4:3 ration the BenQ image still makes it look glorious up on the wall. A great quality projector even though it was released in 2016.

Great for Outdoor movie night
