    Fast Enough For Any Normal Use PC And 8TB Is A Fantastic Size For All Your Files

    This SATA Disk works well and is fast despite only being 5400rpm. As long as you use a SATA3 cable you will get a fast transfer writing/reading speed. If the disk has not been used for a while sometimes there is a slight lag before it responds when reading from the disk. However when writing to the disk it seems fast enough for any day-to-day PC use. All in all value for money for 8TB of space if paying around £130. I purchased this from Japan and had to pay an additional £25 import tax, so if you can buy from the UK. I personally don't think spending a lot more money for the 7200rpm drive will get any real sense of extra speed if you use your PC for day-to-day office applications or watching a movie file. I would recommend this disk especially if using it as archive storage. I've only had the disk running for a few weeks and has been reliable so far, but you would not expect anything else from a Seagate product.
