Easiest and Cleanest Ice Cream Maker for the Price
I chose this model because I was looking to avoid the exposure to aluminum or plastic in the bowl. A huge bonus is that you do not have to freeze the bowl ahead of time. Just put your liquid in the stainless steel bowl and turn it on and it's done in less than an hour. It was easy to understand and worked perfectly. It's not very noisy and the cleanup is super easy. I made two of the recipes in the booklet and we loved both of them--the strawberry ice cream and the coconut ice cream. I am excited to try many more recipes and also making yogurt. This is the first ice cream I've had in years because the ice creams in the grocery store all have ingredients that don't work for me. Now I can make ice cream that works for me with ingredients like grass fed organic cream, coconut milk, organic fruit, and all with no gums or harmful additives. Yay! One improvement I would like would be a dasher made of stainless steel instead of plastic. That is the only criticism I have. I highly recommend this machine. Check your Whynter models for which ones have the stainless steel bowls as not all of them do.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Makes good homemade ice cream
I really like being able to fill the freezer bowl, plug it in and have homemade ice cream in about an hour's time. Runs fairly quiet and unlike other counter size freezers, this machine has it's own freezing unit so there's no need to pre-freeze anything. It really isn't that big, but it's large enough that I really won't want it taking up that much counter space. I bought this so I could make sugar-free ice cream, and have used it 3 times and it turned out really good each time-- Way better than store bought sugar-free ice cream and lot less expensive-- I figure I can justify the purchase cost after using it a few dozen times!
