All good in the end.
A really neat little clock, it looks good which reflects it's cost. I'm using it in the kitchen which wasn't intended as I particularly wanted a bedside table clock that I could glance at and see the illuminated time. Unfortunately I had misunderstood the description, as the time isn't illuminated until you press the button. All well and good however, though I wouldn't have chosen it for the kitchen, it looks fine and the kitchen clock, a genuine vintage radio alarm with illuminated display has gone into the bedroom, it's perfect! wish I'd thought of it before.
