Efficient and Hygienic.
Had one of these when I had my last dog a good few years ago. Glad to see it’s still basically the same design as if used correctly they are a very efficient and hygienic way to keep the garden clear of dog mess. Ours is in the border away from the grass and the wife’s flowers should be lovely this summer...😂. It’s really all about installing and using it correctly. Plenty small stones at the bottom of the hole and larger ones packed around to aid drainage. Once a month, about a kettle full of warm water to flush away any debris. An essential product in your garden for your dog.
We have dogs and allow them in the garden and why not? You need a something in which to place their waste. This product comes with detailed instruction on how to site it for maximum efficiency. Using a biodegradable solution it will break the waste down quickly with the minimum of odour to a slurry. It's essential that all waste is kept moist to allow the solution to work effectively. Cleaning at a simple matter of either pouring into the unit water with a watering can or a hosepipe. The soluble waste then drains into the ground and may act as fertilizer. Don't allow, as mentioned earlier, the waste in the unit to dry out as the efficiency of the bio solution ir reduced. Also, if using a hose to wash out the waste ensure the pressure is low otherwise, you could find the contents splashing out. Pets waste pit.
Excellent value for money, very useful to keep garden in clean conditions. The instructions should be made clearer particularly about the depth and preparation of the hole for installation. What should be in effect a soak-away draining pit. Although I have had this product for some time it has only been installed five days ago so haven't had time to complete its first weekly clean. Found it a little flimsy especially the top ( lid ) can't think that the little locking pins will last very long after removing the lid daily.
