Can't stop watching and my hygiene is suffering but I'm happy!
I first saw this series about 20 years ago - though I could only see some of it, then. I enjoyed it so much that I always swore that I would buy it when I could. I saw the DVDs for sale about 2 years ago but held off buying them as I was concerned that I might not be able to stop watching them once I started - and so it came to pass:( I bought them at a very good price but delayed watching them for a couple of weeks to test my resolve. Then I weakened. I now start to watch them at around midnight each night and stay up until about 04.00. First, I rewatch the episodes from the night before, then fresh ones - luckily, there are over 150! My hygiene has suffered and I'm not earning a lot but I'm happy!! I have seen funnier things, maybe, but not at the rate and consistency of this show. The writing and acting of all involved is so good, especially the boys. The father (Bryan Cranston) is brilliant; I wonder what happened to him....... Though production of the show ended some years ago, it is still the best of its genre and well worth watching. This is the best sitcom of all time. In seven season with so many episodes, this never misses. Always original and hilarious. Perfect wriiting and casting. Even when the. Kids grow up it still manages to develop and maintain its appeal. Its all about the family and their relationship with each other. It may be called Malcolm in the Middle but every character plays their part and there is no Star. As with all the best shows, it manages rro strike the balance, being often poignant, touching, sad, laugh out loud funny but always engaging. This the testament to the writers who drew fantastic character about whom we care and then put them in rilliantly conceived situatuons The essence of proper situation comedy.
