Great German engineering. You can't go wrong.
I have been riding gator skins off and on for over 10 years. They are the defacto standard choice when you desire to minimize punctures. A good friend of mine did a US cross country on a touring bike and he used Gatorskins exclusively for that trek and continues to do so after the fact. In this instance I have purchased the 700x28 tire for my recently assembled e-bike's rear tire because it is now more difficult to remove the rear wheel on account of the electric hub motor. Yes, there is a slight penalty in rolling resistance but the benefit of puncture protection is well worth the trade-off. I would say that only Schwalbe makes a comparable tire. A tire you can trust to carry you through
I got these on recommendation of a cycling forum I frequent, because my old tires could not keep up with my disc brakes in a hard stop. While they are a bit of a harsher ride than the older tires, the grip is excellent! Great tires, tough to mount.
