bad product
I have been having a lot of trouble with my denture and have been and still am trying different products to find the right one. I saw this product on ebay so I thought I would give this a try bad move I followed the instructions on the leaflet and the first mixture didn't go well so I tried the 2nd Mixture as you get 2 and that mixed great applied it to the denture and placed in the mouth a bit down gently but I had to take it straight out because of the taste and also the toxic it gave off in fact it was that bad it made me bad enough that I had to go to bed and I drank all sorts to try and get rid of the taste but couldn't. The taste is just starting to wear off now the day after but is still affecting my throat and chest and also I am having trouble getting parts of it off my denture I am having to try and file it off. Denture yuck lining
This has to be the most disgusting product on the market. I have never had acrylic nail product in my mouth before, only smelled it but this stuff smells and tastes like this product. You would think that the manufacturer would make it less disgusting. It must be toxic as it tastes so chemical. It doesn't hold the teeth any better than an adhesive. In principle this was easy to mix & apply. The instructions were straight forward and my denture fitted perfect. But... the taste & smell is awful! It smells and tastes like molten plastic. Food has no taste and a constant headache until they were taken out. This would be an awesome product, but even a week after removing the permasoft, I can still taste it. not for me unfortunately
I got this to try different from the other brand I use after good reviews. Tried it and I thought the other brand after taste was bad this is worst, 3 days in and still can't eat anything without the horrible taste of chemicals unfortunately I will keep with the other brand I use.. the nail varnish taste is better kind of than this. was a good price to just try though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Saved about £150 on a professional reline!! Happy days!!!
I have a partial temporary denture for my 2 front teeth and it became very loose not long after the extraction. I've used Permasoft twice now. The second time was because I didn't apply enough during the first application. Practice make perfect and there are 2 relines in the pack. My denture now fits well without have to use fixadent. I applied vaseline around the edges of my denture so that I could remove the excess easily (I read this on another review and it works). A lot of people refer to the awful taste but it's a small price to pay when you're saving around £150 or so at the dentist and it's gone within a couple of days. I didn't find it that bad anyway. Another plus is that you don't have to be without the denture as you would if you have a professional reline. If I have to continue to wear the denture I will certainly use Permasoft again if I need to. Oh and I put the second layer on top of the first!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good product
Once I got the mixing right this product proved very good for holding my lower denture in place. I have had in for three weeks now with no problems. The mixing bowl could be a little larger if you are not careful you can spill the liquid over the edge.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not fit for purpose
I bought this for an elderly friend as her usual product has gone out of production. She was extremely disappointed- she used it on her lower dentures and found that it was extremely messy to apply, tasted disgusting and gave a burning sensation. Terrible and not as described
Whilst it is very easy to use, it doesn't stay on the denture as it should. I followed the instructions to the letter but after only a few hours of wearing it and eating, it became lose and detached from the denture. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

How to sort poor fitting dentures
Apart from the gross smell and taste for the first 24 hours, this does the business. So comfortable and durable. Once set, and after a day or two, you would not even know there was a lining. So smooth and one can use fixative to hold firm and the Permasoft lining is unaffected. So much better than the daily linings I used to use to hold the denture.
