new life to a great little tool

Seems good quality but time will tell.
Bought this for an old Stanley surform model 111A. I bought it as it is a genuine Stanley blade and I have never been let down by the brand over the many years ( 40+ ) that I have used these tools. Awful quality,

Brittle broke easily.
