Up out of the way radio-player
Sound is decent enough for a small radio-cd player. Easy to plug in a phone that has a jack. Radio sensitivity is fair at best, not surprising considering the lack of an external antenna. But, it is up off the counter. Sony quality is slipping.....
Over the years I've purchased and used many Sony products and have been very happy with them. We've purchased three of these units. One has been excellent for over a year. Sounds good, easy to operate
This is an under the counter radio so my expectations of sound quality weren't that high. The Sony sounds good. Great product for the price
Got this virtually new from a private owner on eBay. Mounted it under cabinet in the kitchen. It was a replacement for a Bose Wave radio. While it doesn't quite have the base punch of the Bose, it's a great second choice. The sound is clear with strong enough base and clear treble tones. Great, convenient model - no longer in production
A nice, well designed clock radio that also has a CD player. Fits unobtrusively under a kitchen cabinet over the counter; good sound for small area. It's too bad Sony no longer makes this model, and the CD player is missing from all other new kitchen clock radios now on the market; to get this combination (CD+radio+clock) for over the kitchen counter, the used models are now the only options. Great Product
I really enjoy this under the counter radio/cd player. The sound is very good...just keep the megabass on. Cds sound great! AM/FM reception is good. Biggest issue is installing it. For us, it was difficult due to going through a bookcase base. TIP: wrap the cord up on top of the radio BEFORE installing it under the counter, otherwise, you may not be able to adjust the cord for fm reception.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This unit works great, The only thing wrong is the backup battery does not work, I noticed first thing is I had to set the time and date, which should have been set. Sony AM/FM - CD Radio works as advertised
Radio and CD player both work well, with good sound, bass and volume. The battery door for the auxiliary battery was missing, which is needed to run the clock when there's a loss of power. Quality, EZ to use, Under Counter Radio!
This is the SAME MODEL as my first one I owned and loved over 10 years ago! I have moved several times, and because the radio is attached to cupboards, I left previous ones behind. I had other more current models and was totally frustrated by them. My daughter wanted the same model and she uses the connection to her iPhone music, playlist all the time. My under counter tv/radio remains in the closet! :( poor reception. But not with this Sony ICF-CDK50 !) Slim, EASY to use and Program Stereo!
I LOVE my Sony Under Cabinet Clock Radio! I had just bought an undercabinet radio with a pull down blue tooth ready TV attached and had never been so frustrated with the hard to use/ see screens. Then I found this Sony, which was identical to the one I HAD in the home that I sold. I installed and had the radio set, favorite channels programmed, music playing within an hour. LOVE the easy to read screens. My daughter has an identical unit that I gifted to her years ago and she is constantly using the connection feature to broadcast her favorite music from her phone.
