Fluval U2 Filter, works really well and good value for money
I have been using Fluval filters for over 20 years without any problems and this is another good filter from Fluval. The only thing I have changed is, I removed the carbon filter and replaced it with foam filters as my tank is a fully planted tank. I have only been using this filter for a month but seems to be fine and it's easy to clean out. The only down side I have found is you can't direct the water flow to the surface, I added a pipe to the end of the outlet to direct the water flow to the surface. I have added a picture of what my Fluval U2 looks like in my Juwel Primo 60 tank. Yes I would recommend this filter to anyone.

venturi system
the venture worked when I first but it took a lot of adjustment to get it to work. I had to switch it off to move the aquarium to a new location and I cannot get it to work again , all the other functions work ok. I have since looked it up on the internet and it would seem that it is a common fault with the U series filters . The two main reasons I bought this product was the low power consumption and the venture . therefore it was disappointing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Powerhouse filter - won't get better value for your money.
A bit of a beast of a filter size wise for the tank I'm using it in, but it has everything you could ever want and more functionality-wise. Three settings for flow which can also each be finetuned to be as gentle or fast flowing as you need. Good water turnover - I'm running it in a 64l. Easy access to all the parts for easy maintenance. It's close to silent unless you have the venturi running, which is pretty loud, but provides good oxygenation and surface agitation without blowing about my plants which are in the mid to lower levels of the tank. A great tank filter
I had to buy a new fish tank but found the filter that it cane with just wasn't sufficient to keep the water in a good condition. I looked on line and decided to go with the Fluval U2 which was listed for a larger tank but I wanted a good filter. It's ideal ,very easy to install and clean and very efficient. What a bonus to have
Delighted with it . Very quiet- you would not hear even close to it. Using it for my 105 litre aquarium. Sturdy I love the 3 air settings-what a bonus . Your choice (your fish choice) number preference. In order to have it set at the right height I would recommend checking the pump ,getting the plastic suction cups (very strong and good quality) into the holder and then fixing the whole unit in place. A well built filter with options to suit most .
I am an elderly long established aquarist and these days enjoy plants as much as the fish. I find this Fluval 2 in my smaller 15 gal and used on the middle 'spray bar' setting perfect for gentle but thorough water movement.
