About this product

Product Information

The biggest name in video game football celebrates its silver anniversary by emphasizing the creativity and athleticism of ball-carriers in Madden NFL 25. Running backs, athletic quarterbacks, receivers, and defensive backs can now pull off more than 30 new moves when they have the ball in their hands, and gamers can use the new precision modifier to string together speed bursts, stutter steps, jukes, spins, and hurdles. Power moves like stiff arms and trucks have also been improved thanks to the new Force Impact system, which was designed to get more out of the Infinity game engine.

The Connected Franchise feature continues the series' melding of online and career modes, and in Madden NFL 25 this is highlighted by the new Owner mode. Players can create an owner or take on the role of a real-life owner and run every aspect of their franchise, from off-the-field matters like stadium enhancements, relocation, and pricing, to on-field issues like hiring coaches and front-office personnel, drafting, and making post-game statements to the media. The Connected Careers mode returns with a new system designed to let gamers earn more XP and an expanded roster of playable legends, including Randall Cunningham, and both the player and coach versions of Mike Ditka.

As always, players can take on the role of an NFL rookie and guide him through his entire career, play quick games with a local friend, or head online for multiplayer action, and the user interface for the Connected Franchise mode was completely re-designed to be more easily navigable. Other new features include full 32-team control, the return of importable draft classes from the NCAA Football franchise, online roster- and settings-sharing, and the new Madden Seasons option for the Madden Ultimate Team card-collecting mode.

  • What can I say, It's Madden!

I recently bought an Xbox 360 for my nieces and nephew. While I used to have an Xbox, and a PS2, Madden was my favorite game. So I wanted to share the fun of this amazing game with them. I hadn't bought a Madden game since 2003, so I expected this game to be quite the upgrade. Also, I have to admit that when I got the game I thought it was suppose to be like an anniversary game with all of the teams of the last 25 years. Maybe it is and I haven't figured it out yet. Although the game is pretty awesome, obviously there was a lot of changes since I used to play. Some that I thought made the game a little bit harder to play. Especially like the way you call plays. I don't see the benefit of having to pick formations, plays, ect. out of a side tab first, versus having everything in the boxes from the start. I found this confusing. But knowing that there is a ten year difference between what I was use too, and this game, I expected some changes. I also thought there would have been a bigger upgrade in the graphic's over a 10 year period. I expected it to be closer to the 2015 version, or some great improvement. But I found it only to be a slight improvement graphic wise when compared to the 2013 version. All in all, the game play was good as expected, and I thought you had better control over the players than what you used to. Which is a big plus. I haven't got into any of the franchise modes, but it looks pretty cool from what I have seen. Other than that, it is pretty cool. There were some other features that I felt were pretty nice upgrades also. I bought this game because of the great deal on it, ($9.99 for a new, sealed game) and I wanted to introduce my nephew to it before I shelled out the $60 for the latest version, 2015. But I think I'll wait until 2016 comes out before I do buy another version. If your looking at this game at a higher in price than what I paid, I would wait for the 2015 version to be had at a lower price now that the season is over. From the videos I saw, the graphics made a huge leap over a couple of years between this one (2013) and that one. The kind of leap I expected for a 10 year gap. But this will be good enough for me until 2016 comes out.

  • Good quality, not bad

The only problem that I had about this product was that when I was about to finish a game in franchise mode it would say the disc wasn't working, but it didn't always do that. It only happened when you didn't supersim sim the game once each quarter. Other than that it works great.

  • Best way to pick up Xbox 360 games!

Best value and performance for dated Xbox 360 system, but graphics still look good and game play is good enough for me. I've never played any other system, so I don't have anything to compare it to. On top of that, $$$ for a new console and $$ for new games is out of my price range. Too bad I'm a Detroit Lions fan!! Really have to be creative to have a chance at beating other teams, LOL!!
