Review from a nurse
First of all, I need to qualify that I am a nurse so I know what I am talking about. This thermometer is terrible. I have followed the instructions and used it on 5 separate occasions (on the tongue, in the ear, armpit etc.) and every reading was 34.5 degrees centigrade. If your body temperature is below 35 degrees then you have hypothermia and would need urgent medical attention. I got to work and tested myself on NHS equipment and got 36.5. All I can tell you is that you get what you pay for and would avoid this product and put towards purchasing something more professional. I only bought it as a first aid kit for the car but have wasted 2 quid. Caveat Emptor.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Battery came flat
Came with battery flat (lo) Took temperature one time (took 1min 54s) reading was 35.1, means im dead i think..... funny that. I'm a type 1 diabetic desperate for a tester during distance isolating.... booo. Cheap thermometers
