missing parts
The description on this item was not very thorough. The system didn't work when I received it so I had to take it apart. I found that someone, possibly a child, had jammed a magnet into the game slot. Easy fix and now it works fine. The main problem that I have is that it is missing charging cradles, chords and memory cards. Because of the poor description it was impossible to know this from purchase. Worked fine for 2 weeks then died! Waste of money, never again
This worked great for about 2 weeks of light use then one day I go to turn it on and it won't read the disc or any disc. I tried cleaning the laser but it didn't help. I have a new laser that I put in my last wii that didn't fix it, I may try to install it, but it's a real pain to do and last time it didn't even work. This product came with a missing remote. Making myself to order a remote for 30$. When the remote came and everything was setup. The Wii did not work AT ALL. It was very clear that system was not working. Because of this a 7 year old girl did not have the best christmas. A Great platform
A great platform they shouldn't have changed it. This is a excellent gaming system. especially the Wii sports games. My 84 yr old Mother-in law loves Wii bowling and so do her friends. Easy to use and a good source of exercise and mental stimulation. Being older myself, I love playing World at war and other Call of duty games. The rifle style handset is easier for me. Great replacement unit -- with surprise extras
I bought this because my prior Wii console stopped working. We had all the accessories, cords, etc., and just needed a replacement for the box -- this fit perfectly. When we fired it up, not only did we have a working system again, we found some unexpected treasures on the box: dozens of Miis and some games! I wasn't expecting that bonus -- looks like these used units haven't been scrubbed of prior info, which those who sold them really should have checked out. I wouldn't assume that the used consoles have user data on it, but I bet many who were upgrading their systems didn't bother to delete any of their data.
