Two ss700 & ss1300
I love fishing with these reels, I have a SS1300 and two SS700. They are the smoothest casting and tangle free reels I have. I love modern spinning reels too, they are very very smooth and have instant anti-reverse but often are not as smooth casting and don't hold up as well as these Tournament reels do. These Daiwa SS reels out of the box are fairly smooth but I always break them down for a full cleaning and re-lube before using them. This maintenance has made these reels very smooth with a very solid feel and easy to fish with. Daiwa SS reels are known work horse reels because they are well made. If you can't live with out instant anti-reverse and super smoothness then avoid these reels. I have never had the anti-reverse or anything fail on these reels. My modern spinning reels always have something fail after a few years regardless of price. Also the drag is easy starting and very smooth. I think the SS Tournament reels look cool too. Withstood the test off time.
This purchase was a replacement for my daiwa 700 SS tournament reel purchased over 20 years ago. I accidentally broke the reel foot...🙁 There are a lot of newer reels on the market with more ball bearings, but none that are better.
