Old technology - Good reliability
This is my 2nd HP 5590. I like this flatbed a lot. It is old tech, but very reliable. It has a 50 page feed and it is slow, but it works great using Twain driver. Other inexpensive multi-feed scanners are faster, but unless you pay big bucks, they tend to miss feed pages and skip over scanning altogether. This one doesn't. My best printer...
I have in many years had various printer/scanners of many different makes and models. I saw an add for the HP 5590 digital flatbed scanner with slide and negative attachment. I have hundreds and more of the old fashioned way of taking pictures with slides and negatives.. I now have pictures that I haven't seen in many years. It has great resolution and many more features.
