ReviewsMiami Herald - This is easily Bay's best movie, the work of a filmmaker with a cracked sense of humor that he is able to share with the audience., New Yorker - A brash, vulgar, exhilaratingly vigorous, spontaneously complex hoot of a true-crime movie., New York Post - A dizzying lowlife saga that's fast, smart, wicked, sort of ambitious and blazingly ironic., Time Out - The first hour may be Bay's career high point: it's fast, freaky, gloriously tasteless and startlingly pointed in its attacks on western insecurity, shallowness and greed.

  • Absolutely crap

Has to be in the bottom 10 of worse films of all time. Don't bother unless you have literally nothing else to do. I mean, if you're unfortunately bed bound for some reason, and you can't actually do much at all, by all means give it a go. Just make sure you have the remote to hand to turn it off when the penny drops. On a plus side, I'm going to use the dvd to hang off the washing line to scare the local scruffy cats out of my garden. They'll get a double whammy. Reflection on one side and the movie name on the other. I expect they'll f+ck right off very quickly.

  • Pain and gain dvd

I read many of the reviews of this b4 I bought it so I was expecting an okish! Film but actually! I really enjoyed it as all the characters were amusing and I've realised how good Dwayne Johnson is as an actor, he doesn't take himself so serious which is his charm for me. But it was a bit funny a bit cringy and with some violence and drug taking but done in a tong & cheek kinda way. It has a bit of everything really but you also know that this is a true story so it also could upset you. This really in my opinion is either your kinda film or its not I'm sure you know, so if not don't bother, but I found it entertaining and a little thought provoking. It wasn't expensive so I'm glad I bought and watched it and will probably stay in my collection. 5* for me.
