These are the best, most durable and sharpest blades I've come across. I can go almost a month without having to change a blade, believe it or not. There's a warning against wiping the blade when you're done. What I do is take the blade out of the razor, rinse it and then blow both sides dry with a couple of puffs. Also, these blades are sharp enough you really have to use a light touch with them to avoid nicks and cuts. I recommend stretching the skin with your non-dominant hand, using the old-fashioned straight razor method, to really take best advantage of the blades' sharpness and ability to leave a very smooth face after you're done shaving.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unimpressive
Even at 17 cents each, these blades aren't a bargain, or even a good value. Usually I can use a platinum blade for a couple of weeks. These blades don't even produce one satisfactory shave. I may have assumed that the product being made in Israel was an advantage . . . I should have stayed with a product manufactured in Britain or Germany. Also, the description included the name "Personna." There used to be a brand by that name available in the US that was satisfactory. One of the BEST!
This blade is SHARP and Smooth! After trying everything from Feathers which caused irritation for me to the Gillette 7 o clock, this, the Wilkinson sword and the Red Personas being in the same circle. Having a heavy beard I figured the Feathers would be the best being many people claim they are the sharpest, and I shaved with Feathers from day one and endured the irritation. Once I started shopping around and got a sampler pack it seemed the Platinum blades were the best. I switch around occasionally but this is one of my regular daily blades. As always, your mileage may vary, or your experience may differ from mine. Get a sampler pack and don't be too fast to judge! I use my blades in A Merkur 38 or a Edwin Jagger(the common model).
