Great product and a must have for proper pool and hot tub care
I've been using Aquachek for years for both my pool and hot tub. The test strips are simple to use, easy to read and the chart on the back of the bottle tells you exactly what is going on with your pool or hot tub water. It will tell you the ph level, chlorine level, alkalinity level and Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer). It is important to stay on top of water conditions in pools and hot tubs for obvious reasons. Many factors can alter the condition of water such as hard water, body fluids, dirt, etc. These test strips tell you your water condition in seconds and then based on the chart on the back of the bottle you will be able to determine what chemicals to add to your pool or hot tub water.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Accuracy problems
I have been using the AquaCheck 7-way strips before I switched to this one, mainly because it was more expensive and it had indicators that I didn't really need. However, this product is not just the 7-way with 3 indicators removed. Once you dip this in water it starts to change colors. You're supposed to wait 15 seconds and then read the values, but the colors keep changing after 15 seconds. So assuming the 15 seconds stated are the optimal time to take a reading, you'd better have a clock nearby and make sure you read all indicators within 2-3seconds, otherwise your readings will be wrong.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Handy, quicker than reagents test, need long stems for "in ground" pools
I could use a grabber to keep from bending over. Maybe thread a needle through one end and drop it in with a fishing weight. One very important issue for me was that "Stabilizer" was not specifically ID'd as Cyanuric acid. Now that I know, not a problem. Not everybody knows that I considered Calcium levels important to stabilize the transmigration of calcium from a concrete base floor THROUGH the vinyl liner.
