    Fairly accurate instrument

The instrument is not perfectly accurate, but probably good enough for this price range. The remote sending unit when placed next to the indoor unit, it doesn't indicate the same temp or humidity. It really bother the perfectionist scientist. It is within one or two degrees or two percentage points. Otherwise it transmits and receives easily. Set up was very easy as well. I consider it good enough for most homes, but because of the inaccuracy, it could be priced more modestly. I also wish the design incorporated first the option to hang on the wall (it doesn't) and also including a way to let it stand its own, instead of having table top display only for the main unit.

    Made in China

I have had two other Oregon weather stations. They both connected with Colorado for the time real fast. This one showed a weak signal. I called customer support. Talking to support was hard to understand. I called again for a better signal, same thing. I asked in what country are you in, I was told the Philippines. I asked to be transfer to customer support, I was told they couldn't do that. I next tried to call Oregon Weather stations in Oregon where it main office is. Couldn't talk to anyone there. I would never buy another Oregon system.

  • Have 2 of these.

Have 2 units, 3 sensors. Main units set to scroll continuously through the sensors. 1 sensor outside, under an overhang, the others in the house. Been using this model for several years. One failed electronically, would not reset, another got destroyed when a large blind fell on it. Replaced them. Battery life is quite good, they use AA size. Outside sensor never has failed, nor have the inside ones. The main units require some attention to procedure when setting up, otherwise no problems. Once set up, the system works quietly in the background. Numbers are of adequate size, visibility is normal for an lcd system. When scrolling through the sensors it is necessary to know which sensor you are reading. This is in a place which makes it difficult to see, top left of screen, but I have it placed - the one I use the most - with the light behind the unit. The second unit has a similar problem, but set up differently it would be ok. There really isnt' anything on the market with the features of this one. Would like to see Oregon make one that can hang on the wall, so far the trend for most mfg is to make a table type. Anyway, definitely a good product and recommended.

  • Nifty home weather device

This relatively compact device delivers accurate internal and external temp and humidity. In addition it clearly shows time of day, date and day of week. Also forecasts weather, for ex., cloudy, freeze coming, etc. Only thing off are the phases of moon despite having set the correct year, month and date and I was unable to correct this error. There is a difference of about 3 days to quick.

  • Weather Station

This is my second Weather Station made by Oregon Scientific that I have owned. The first was a gift some 20+ years ago and my second recently purchased one was just an update. Both units have been trouble free and very user friendly. The second one was very affordable and somewhat easier to read. Not real fancy but it seems to be very accurate. Easy to set up so it would make a great gift.

  • Excellent and Quality Weather Station

My husband set up this Oregon Weather station with ease. He loves it and checks on it all day long. This is the nicest style weather station we've ever seen. Our friend has one and that is how we learned about it. It is great to have one for yourself and to give one for a gift.

  • Works Great.

I have another Oregon Scientific Advanced Weather Station - Humidity, Weather, Time BAR208 that I bought several years ago and it works great. I needed another one for the basement. It works great, also.

  • Do not buy

Too much information. I don't need to know the phase of the moon nor the humidity. More important, one has to be within 2 feet to read the display.

  • Weather Station

An excellent product. This is our second one, the first lasted years. It gives you all the information you need and it's atomic clock is really nice. My brother liked it so well, he bought one.
