About this product

Product Information

If you’re looking to earn style points by selecting a sleek and unique guitar, the Peavey Predator Plus electric guitar is a great option for you. It is stunningly beautiful with a quilt top design that’s coated in a layer of glossy lacquer. This right-handed guitar has a humbucker style pickup system, so it’s a great guitar to play the blues on. The neck of the Predator Plus is comprised of maple and features a rosewood fret board with 24 jumbo frets to make finding your finger positions much easier. The major frets are each embellished with a mother-of-pearl dot that looks great on the dark-colored backing. A unique aesthetic feature of this solid six-string guitar is the hook-ended Peavey headstock. The headstock itself is painted black and has black tuning dials.

  • Great Beginner/ hobby guitar

I understand I won't get a $2000 sound out of this guitar and I review it according to that understanding. I wouldn't take this guitar on stage but it is a decent fun guitar to play. It has a slimmer neck than your average strat. You have the options to choose between single coil for the twangy blues sound and humbucker for the crisp sharp metal solos. There are tune locks so you know your strings won't start slipping when changing tune a lot and you can cut the strings short right away. 5 way switch to pop between coils, fairly good action..etc.. This is an older model guitar so i find when i tune that the string i start with was out of tune by the time i got to the sixth string. I fixed this by putting in new (and more) bridge springs. I had to personally fix the Tune pot on mine, a few dollars and some soldering. Looks short but when up against other guitars it's the same size scale, so dont be fooled. The price that this guitar sells at is about right for the sound you get.
