Good Suction
Wanted a specific vacuum for cleaning our woodburner. This one has a large internal filter plus a large HEPA filter so does not block up quickly. Easy to empty and all the filters are washable ( I bought a spare set so always have a dry set to use). I reckon the suction is as good as our Dyson cordless. No noisier than any other vacuum. One useful note is that when you have emptied and cleaned the machine ensure you attach the top section with the power switch lined up by the tube outlet in the body otherwise when you switch on the air is forced out and blows all the ash around! Good, up to a point!
This device is quite powerful and has effective filtering which is easy to clean or replace (I bought 1 each of the 2 filters fitted as spares). The machine sucks up the detritus very well but there are 3 issues. Issue 1: the hose is rather short allowing limited range if the machine is not being carried. Issue 2: there are no castors, so it cannot be pulled along if required, which would not be so much of an issue if the hose was longer. In fairness, it is for collecting ashes and in that role it is quite good and appears to be well made and thought out except for the third issue which is that the nozzle allows certain size objects to pass which can then jam inside the nozzle to hose junction; which is annoying. Overall a mixed result but for the price it still represents good value if you can live with the aforementioned issues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent Vac!
Very pleased with this ash vacuum. It is compact, light, not too noisy and the filters (2) work extremely well, no dust escapes into the room. It's easy to empty and the filters are easy to clean. the best most powerfull vac ever
this is labelled just as an ash vacuum cleaner but the suction is that powerfull that it can be used to clean the car out its only got an 800 watt motor but it has 20 times more suction power than the leading Dyson vacuum cleaner!!! i would say its the £30 ive ever spent, delivery was fast and secure too using Hermes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Van Haus Ash Vacuum
I only use this to vacuum up not the debris after manually emptying the grate and ash pan and I does an excellent job when used as described. If I attempted to use it to clear the grate and ash pan I believe it would quickly clog up, like the majority of other machine I considered the initial filter is cloth which would simply clog up with ash if a large volume of ash is drawn into the machine.
