    Good value

For the cost this does a good job. It is relatively easy to set up. I read a few reviews and some had problems with it skipping straight into the middle but I found removing the weight from the arm solved this and now it travels just in front of the stylus and still picks up the dust even after using a record cloth prior to playing. I don't think you need that much weight for it to perform well. It may be just my deck but it worked for me. It could do with a little bit more height adjustment, there was only just enough to set up properly with my Rega Planar 3. Overall it's fine.

  • Most critical review

Nice idea but needs design refinement

The plastic bristle holder is too long which needs the metal arm to be raised well above the height of the record. The stand for the arm is adjustable for height but needs to be at the top of its extension to get the necessary clearance above the record. This means the record deck lid cannot be closed during use. The sliding weight on the arm which adjusts the downward force on the brush is too loose and therefore has to be re-positioned each time the brush is used. This adjustment is very sensitive otherwise the brush either stands still or skates quickly across the record during play. Design wise, it is best described as "retro."

  • Disappointing Gizzmo

Read the reviews and was hopeful this simple gadget might actually help cut down static on modern cut vinyl LP's such as those from Ed Sheeran which, for whatever reason, attract very strong static charge with each play. The idea with this arm is to track the record surface with a brush of lightweight carbon bristles connected via the metal arm/bearing to a ground lead in turn connected to the amplifier's ground point while the record is playing. Sadly I found locating the 'ideal' position to mount the arm troublesome and no amount of adjustment of the sliding weight and/or base position has been able to get the arm to consistently track properly and when it does track it did nothing to prevent the static build up on these new LP's. Construction is OK except for the very loose sliding arm weight that really needs to be a firmer fit on the arm tube to stop it just sliding all over the place. There is also no arm rest included so you need to make your own. Disappointing.

  • It Works!

I looked at various record-cleaning options before settling on this anti-static cleaning arm. Some reviewers have said that it is difficult to set up, or fails to track across the record. I didn’t have either of these problems. The ground wire is long enough to reach the ground connection on my amplifier, so was easy to connect. It does what it says on the box: it reduces static and catches dust and fluff. Good purchase.

  • Slides too much.

Although it is easy to fit, the overly soft fibres mean that they bend too flat, and won't track the grooves. It just slides to the middle grooves of an LP and stays there. I have tried more, and less, weight, but the only way to get it to track seems to be to bend the fibres backwards each time.

  • Yes it works but takes sometime to get optimal posi6

Did get to work eventually. It's kept skating across the disc. It's over engineered but instructions are too simplistic. Yes you can easily get to pivot to the centre easily. Placing the base is key. However space around the platter of modern turntables is limited

  • Smart item.

Great little brush that looks smart too. Experiment with the height and weight to get it to track smoothly, it works best a little higher than than parallel. Also not too close the edge of the record. I made a little stand for mine too as my turntable is very deep.Works perfectly, spend a little time to get it right. If you can set up an arm you can set this up. Ignore all the reviews where people cant get it working, use a little common sense.

  • Well made and does not cost a lot, unlike some cleaning arms out there.

The product is well made and does what it says on the tin to coin a phrase. picks up the dust.remember to clean brush every side of the record.

  • Soft Bristles

Initially fine, then I tried to gently tease the bristles into a point instead of being flattened. The bristles came out in clumps and the arm is now useless, waste of money. I bought an antistatic arm in the 1970's it worked a treat and lasted until the advent of CD's in the 90's today's modern gear is tack, utter garbage.

  • Keeps the records and stylus clean.

It’s easy to use and only takes a few minutes to set up, it works well if you keep it clean. William
