  • Works great for what it was made for but not for what I wanted it to do.

I wanted to use this to control the volume of my active stage monitor but it caused the volume to go way down. It works fine if I plug my guitar into the pedal and use it as intended but the impedance mismatch between the aux out of my mixer and the input of the pedal causes the audio signal to be sapped. I have to plug the guitar into the pedal input, the pedal output into my stage monitor and the tuner out of the pedal into my mixer so the pedal doesn't effect my guitar volume in the main mix, only my monitor. This setup works fine but I've lost the ability to add other channels into my monitor. However, the pedal works as it was designed to and I like how big it is as I have large feet anyway. I especially like the minimum volume setting so I can pedal up for finger picking/lead work and pedal down for strumming.

  • A real pedal for real men, and for the ladies, lol

This is the same review I wrote for the Boss FV500H. Why, because it is the exact same pedal. at half the price. Behringer copied it. I have disassembled them and compared them and they are for all practical purposes exactly the same. The difference is in the quality control. And I think Behringer is up there with Boss now. For half the price the Behringer wins hands down. So here is my review. If you need a real volume pedal this is it. It is the real deal. No strings attached, pun intended. It will last forever. It is big but you have full control you can feel unlike those mini pedals. Which are terrible! If you are touring and have a company moving your gear this is what you want. If you have to move your gear yourself you might want a mini pedal of some sort or a string driven pedal. But you should have one of these in your studio. You might find it is worth lugging the thing around just because you will have so much better control and feel in your performance. I will add I have seen people break these and the Boss by tightening the friction screw too much. It's like a truss rod. If you think you are over doing it then you are. So be gentle.
