Correct kit for servicing a K&N filter
I love K&N filters for both cars and motorcycles. They last forever and work brilliantly but do need correct maintenance to perform their filtration duty correctly. Thus it is important to carry out a correct cleaning and relubing service every so often and this product is what is needed for that. They work well and the instructions are clear. Works really well and more than enough to clean and re-oil several large filters.
Used the kit to clean 2 large (and very dirty) pancake type filters. Cleaning solution works really well and the oil is easy to apply. This kit probably has enough cleaner for 3 or 4 filters and enough oil for even more. As these filters only require very occasional servicing, unless you have a lot of these filters a smaller kit would have sufficed as I am unlikely to ever use all it. Recommended!

The K&N filter has really done its job well on my Yamaha XT 600 and now it's good for another go...
I switched to the K&N filter on my motorcycle appr 25.000 km ago, though being a little sceptical about it's ability to keep the intake air clean. During the 25.000 km I did not experience any power loss at all as would occur with the original paper filters after about 10.000 km due to filter clogging. When opening the air filter and intake box it was evident the filter has also managed to keep the air absolutely clean. No trace of dust inside the filter box. The dirty side of the filter however revealed the filter was in need of cleaning which again must be followed by recharging by using K&N filter oil. So I decided to purchase the K&N fluids and follow the manufacturers instruction to the point. Now the filter appears just as good as new and it didn't take much of the cleanser and oil bottles to fully restore it. Ideal all in one filter recharge.
Works exactly as it should, normally I just buy the oil and use my own degreaser but couldn't get the oil without cleaner this time, the cleaner may be ordinary degreaser but it made a better job of cleaning than other products I've used before.
