Two compact satellite speakers and a powerful distortion-free subwoofer deliver crystal-clear sound that will take you deeper into your music, movies, TV shows and games. With a total power 40W RMS frequency response, the Logitech Z553 speaker system has plenty of volume available whether you’re watching a TV show, enjoying a film, playing games or listening to music. It’s split up by 10W for each satellite speaker and 20W for the subwoofer. The subwoofer volume can be adjusted via a dial on the back of the control pod to suit your taste and the sound source. The 4-inch down-facing driver delivers a well-rounded sound. In terms of hardware, specs and design, these speakers have a sleek and slightly traditional-type design. The device is solid and sturdy. The contrasting black and orange is an attention-getting combination that can add a sleek and stylish appearance to the room. The satellite speakers are larger than most including Creative’s T3. You can set the satellites at various heights, and the adjustable stands are supported with three spikes. The satellites feature double teeters. They connect with the subwoofer through RCA cables. Logitech’s volume-dial (which the manufacturer calls the “control pod”) is wired to the subwoofer with a VGA-style cable. It has a smooth action and does not adjust the volume too sensitively. In addition, it has a dial for bass on the rear and a headphone jack for times when you might not want to disturb others. The control pod provides your wired volume control. The pod leans toward the user, and an orange glow indicates when the speakers are on and ready for use. Unlike many other systems, a bass control dial at the back allows users to alter the setting without much effort. When it comes to sound quality, Logitech delivers top end performance and power in the highs and mids. It delivers clear, powerful audio. Its 40W gives you plenty of power to fill the room with big, detailed sound. Dual drivers in each satellite speaker deliver the crisp and clear high end and warm mid-range. If you can get a pair for $10 and cut off the rca and connect it to a new set of amplifiers, these things will certanly sound good. i have it connected to a 50w amplifer and for the size of the satalites . it sounds great with plenty of mids highs and even some lows. you can build a very good sorround sound system with these speakers if you can buy alot of them and have a diffreent ampliferVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
