Easy to setup but takes a while due to limitations of the control panel.
The printer arrived well packed. When I started to set it up I got the "paper jam" message. There was no paper jam. I loaded paper into the printer and used the "cancel" button on the control panel to cycle a sheet of paper through the printer. I then got the "ready to print" message. Very good prints, nightmare to set up
The printouts are great, both in gray scale and in color. This printer could be great if the set up wasn't such a nightmare. I have connected three laptops and one Desktop computer to it and only one laptop was easy to connect. All have Windows 7, yet the initial setup times vary greatly. I have found out that using the manual setup is the quickest way to connect via wireless setting. Again, great printouts but a nightmare to set it up. All things considered, it is a really good value
One of the cables was not included. Other than that easy to set up. The print quality was fuzzy. I made some adjustments and it is pretty good now but If I really knew how to adjust it I think I would be even better. This product must be sent to the trash heap since printer repair is not an American concept.
The first step on the "Setting Up Your Printer" configuration sheet is to verify the contents of the shipping box. The second illustrations how to plug in the power cable and turn on the machine. The instructions say 'Wait until "Ready to Print" appears on the screen. In my experience, I could not get past Step 2. When I powered up the printer the message "Diagnosing..." appeared on the screen. After several seconds "Rear Cover is open" appeared despite the fact that the rear cover is closed. Next, the message "Close Rear Cover 077-300" is seen. After opening and closing the rear cover, the pair of messages "Paper Jam Open Rear Cover" and "Remove Paper 077-901" cycle over and over again. This is in spite of the fact that paper has never passed through the machine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
