Good condition. Some marks due to being white. Sensor needs a clean as micro dust visible. Comes with original Pentax battery and charger and adapter to take AA batteries. Recommended eneloop. Not sure on the shutter count but at a guess I can't see it being over 5000.

  • Pentax K50

Exceptional entry level DSLR camera, even compared to what’s on offer from Canon and Nikon in 2018. What you get for your money and the quality of build is great. It feels well made, and just feels quality. I have held both the Canon 1300, and the Nikon D3400 and both don’t feel as solid. Really it’s the photos it takes, not the look and feel that count, and it passes that with flying colours. The pictures are sharp and the colours and detail produced are fantastic. Shop around for good quality “used” models on eBay and you will get a bargain. I managed to get the Pentax K50 with box, leads, charger, and manual, with 3 battery’s, an external Metz flash gun, the kit lens, PLUS another 50-200mm lens, all in excellent condition for £260!!! That is about £600 worth of kit for £260!! You wouldn’t get the Nikon D3400 new for less than £299 and the Canon 1300 for less than £280. For my money the Pentax is a better camera, with many more features than the entry level models. In fact it’s probably mid-range not entry level. I’m no expert, but I did do thorough research before purchasing and reviews for the Pentax seemed more favourable than the Nikon D3400 and Canon 1300. I mention both these cameras as they were the two cameras I was also considering and matched my budget. The bonus of this camera is that due to Pentax still using the same K-mount for their lenses for years/decades now, you can buy second hand manual lenses for this camera for peanuts. There is a huge selection available too. In fact you could probably kit yourself out with all the lenses you would ever need for the cost of 1 good quality digital lens. I bought a 70-210mm Sigma lens with Macro capability in excellent condition, with case and caps for £23.99!!! It’s amazing. It also means if you are an older Pentax owner, then you can use all your old lenses, or get an adaptor if the mount is different eg M42. Amazing value!! Very happy snapper!!

  • Brilliant entry level DSLR at a great price.

The camera itself is really easy to use and produces excellent results This is my first 'proper' DSLR so haven't really much experience though I used to take wet-film type photos many years ago so have experience on the subject. This camera is easy to use on AUTO mode with the camera making choice on exposure and focussing, but there are many other modes to make select to make more decisions on shutter speed and aperture if you so wish, but it is very early days for me.... Regarding cons - I have yet to find any to be honest.

  • Affordable High Quality DSLR Camera

The Pentax K-50 is a great camera to either start in the DLSR hobby, or to move up from the Pentax K100D. It is easy to use and there are a wealth of tutorials on You Tube to help you move away from using the "Auto Focus" functions and start using the various manual shooting modes and controlling the Shutter Speeds, Aperture Settings and ISO to take your photography to the next level. We can't all afford many hundreds of pounds in pursuit of a hobby, but the Pentax K-50 makes the hobby affordable.

  • Quality and value

For the price this camera offers excellent value. It will take many Pentax lenses available second hand . Picture quality and handling are first rate.

  • Fits the bill.

Exactly what I was looking for in every way. A good price for a good camera body.

  • Great body

Fab camera. I can use all my old lenses. It has lots of frame rates in movie mode. Only thing I don't like is plastic body construction. The K-7 has a much better feel. The battery life is not very good. Bought a couple of high capacity batteries and they are much better than the one it's supplied with. Over all its a good camera.
